RJ45 port and its pin definition

Author:

The RJ45 port is a network card port, which is a widely used LAN port, similar to an Ethernet cable port. It has 8 pins (Pin) that can be used to plug in an Ethernet cable. Each pin has its specific function, including data signals, power, and ground.
The RJ45 port is used in hardware devices for computer networks, such as hubs, routers, switches, and other devices with ports. This interface is also widely used in data, voice and video transmission technologies.
For the RJ45 port pin definition, in general, according to the standard definition of the RJ45 connector has a total of eight pins (pin): 1, 2 (orange, used to connect the data bit line), 3, 6 (green, used to connect the ground line) 4, 5 (blue, used to connect the network ground line), and plug into the device when the wiring methods are: “differential mode”(signal twisted), “independent mode” (do not affect each other). At present, the common domestic use is “differential mode”, the pin definition is as follows: 1-orange and white, 2-orange, 3-green, 4-blue, 5-blue and white, 6-green and white, 7-ground (yellow and green), 8-shield (grey).
